Provision of Aeronautical Information (AIS) and Cartography (MAP)
In accordance with Article 21 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 15, 2010, “On the Use of the Airspace of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Aviation Activities” (hereinafter - the Law), an air navigation service provider that is a state enterprise subordinate to the authorized body in the field of civil aviation (hereinafter - ANSP), ensures the provision of aeronautical information in accordance with the standards of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the Aeronautical information provision Rules in civil aviation in order to ensure the safety, regularity and efficiency of aircraft flights in the airspace of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Aeronautical information and aeronautical charts are prepared and distributed by the Aeronautical information service of ANSP in accordance with the requirements of Annex 15 “Aeronautical information services” and Annex 4 “Aeronautical charts” to the International Civil Aviation Organization Convention (ICAO), the ICAO document “Aeronautical Information Services Manual” (Doc 8126), as well as in accordance with the document ICAO PANS-AIM “Procedures for Air Navigation Services. Aeronautical Information Management” (Doc 10066).
Aeronautical information is provided in the form of aeronautical information products and published on the ANSP’s website.
The Air navigation Department controls and supervises the provision of aeronautical information in accordance with articles 10-2 of the Law, as well as in accordance with Articles 21 of the Law monitors the reliability, accuracy and timeliness of the aeronautical information provided.
At the same time, the Air navigation Department is guided by the Aeronautical information provision Rules in civil aviation developed in accordance with subparagraph 41-18) of Article 14 of the Law, which determine the procedure for providing aeronautical information in civil aviation.
