Bird strikes involving aircraft in Kazakhstan are most frequently recorded at the airports of Astana, Almaty, Shymkent, Atyrau, and Aktau. This was reported by the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan in response to an official inquiry from the Kazinform news agency.

Kazakhstan is expanding its network of domestic flights. Currently, there are around 890 flights per week connecting the country's cities across approximately 60 routes—up from about 630 three years ago. New flights have been added this year from Astana to Almaty, Aktau, Aktobe, and Urdzhar, as well as from Almaty to Aktau and Urdzhar. Find out more in this report from Channel 7.
