Aircraft modification and repair work
All modifications and repairs are coordinated with the organization responsible for the type design. The execution of major modifications and repairs is approved by the State of Registry. The operator ensures the retention of such data in accordance with Section 50 of the Operational Certification Requirements for civil aircraft.
Major modification and repair approval
To obtain approval for the execution of a major modification or repair, the applicant shall submit an application via the Electronic Document Management System or through the Unified Platform for Reception and Processing of All Citizens' Appeals "E-otinish". Application for approval of a major modification or major repair
The service is provided free of charge.
To obtain approval for a major modification or repair, an application must be submitted using the prescribed form, accompanied by the documents specified therein.
The application review period is 15 (fifteen) working days, in accordance with Article 76, Part 1 of the Code.
Note: According to Article 76, Part 3 of the Code, the term of the administrative procedure initiated based on an application may be extended by a reasoned decision of the head of the administrative body or their deputy for a reasonable period, but not more than two months, due to the need to establish factual circumstances relevant for the correct consideration of the administrative case. The participant of the administrative procedure shall be notified of such an extension within three working days from the date the term is extended.
The Notification of Approval for the execution of a major modification and repair is issued for an indefinite period (is permanent).
Before submitting a formal application for approval of a major modification and repair, the applicant is required to familiarize themselves with the regulatory legal acts governing the civil aviation sector presented below.
The procedure for application submission and issuance of the approval for a major modification and repair is generally carried out in the following sequence:
1) Application Assessment and Decision Making:
The application assessment involves a comprehensive review of the information submitted by the applicant to ensure that all aspects stipulated by the regulations are included and properly addressed.
2) Decision Making and Issuance (or Denial):
Based on the results of the application review for compliance with the Law, an aviation inspector of the authorized organization makes a decision to either approve or deny the major modification and repair.
