About Department

The Flight Operations Department of Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan JSC carries out state state surveillance and oversight in the field of flight operations, certification of civil aviation operators, aviation works and general aviation, and also ensures compliance of operators' activities with the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and ICAO standards.

  • Issuance of a Certificate for the Right to Perform Aerial Works (Aerial Works Certificate)
  • Issuance of a Certificate for the Right to Perform Flights (General Aviation Operator) (Approval for general aviation operators operating aircraft with a maximum certified takeoff weight in excess of 5,700 kg and/or aircraft equipped with one or more turbojet (turboprop) engines)

Safety Surveillance and oversight

As part of its state surveillance and oversight functions, the Flight Operations Department operates in accordance with the safety oversight program and surveillance schedule.
