Svetlana Yeroshina

Directorof the department of aerodromes and ground handling – chief aviation inspector

Svetlana Eroshina was appointed as a  Director of Aerodrome and Ground Handling Department of Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan JSC since February 2020.

From 2008 to 2014, she worked at Karaganda International Airport as Head of the Technology and Certification Service and Deputy Head of the Flight Safety Inspection. From 2014 to 2018, she served as Chief Flight Safety Manager and Director of the Flight Safety and International Standards Implementation Department at Airport Management Group LLP, which manages state airports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, including the international airports of Astana, Shymkent, Kyzylorda, Atyrau, Aktobe, Kostanay, Kokshetau, Petropavlovsk, and Pavlodar.

From 2018 to 2020, she worked as Director of the Flight Safety Department at Astana International Airport.

She was involved in the development and implementation of the Safety Management System (SMS) and international standards in airports across the Republic of Kazakhstan.

She graduated with honors from the Department of Optics and Spectroscopy of the Faculty of Physics at E.A. Buketov Karaganda State University, completed a Master’s degree in Physics, and postgraduate studies in Condensed Matter Physics.

She underwent training at Zurich International Airport and completed courses at ICAO and IATA training centers. With her direct participation, Karaganda Airport successfully passed the ISAGO international audit in 2012 and 2014, becoming the first airport in Kazakhstan to receive the corresponding registration. In 2021, the Aerodromes and Ground Handling Department of JSC “Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan” successfully passed the ICAO USOAP CMA validation audit with a compliance score of 90%. Also in 2021, Kazakhstan successfully implemented the ICAO Global Reporting Format (GRF) for runway surface condition assessment.
