First Flight Operated on June 1 as LOT Polish Airlines Launches Almaty–Warsaw Route
Starting June 1, LOT Polish Airlines began operating regular flights on the Almaty–Warsaw route. Flights are operated four times per week—on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays—using Boeing 737 MAX aircraft.
The flight time is approximately 7.5 hours from Almaty to Warsaw and about 6.5 hours from Warsaw to Almaty.
According to the Civil Aviation Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, with the launch of the new route, the total number of flights between Kazakhstan and Poland has increased to eight per week across two routes—from Astana and Almaty to Warsaw.
In addition, aviation authorities of Kazakhstan and Poland have agreed to launch flights on the Atyrau–Warsaw–Atyrau route.
According to preliminary data from the Statistics Poland office, trade turnover between Poland and Kazakhstan amounted to USD 1.82 billion in 2025, of which Polish exports accounted for USD 951 million. More than 140 companies with Polish capital operate in Kazakhstan, including major enterprises such as Polpharma (pharmaceuticals, known for the Santo brand), Selena (construction chemicals), and Stockson (confectionery products).
