The decision was made by the Secretary General of the International Civil Aviation Organization

Chairman of the Civil Aviation Committee of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan Saltanat Tompieva has been appointed Ambassador within the framework of the ICAO Global Ambassadors Program by the decision of the Secretary General of the International Civil Aviation Organization Juan Carlos Salazar, the Kapital Business Information Center reports.kz with reference to the KGA press service.

The representative of Kazakhstan was selected within the framework of the ICAO European and North Atlantic Regional Office (EUR/NAT), which unites 56 States.

As an ICAO Ambassador, Saltanat Tompieva will contribute to raising awareness of key areas of civil aviation development, including the sustainable growth of the aviation industry, training and attracting qualified aviation professionals, as well as increasing the participation of women and youth in the sector.

These activities will be carried out on a voluntary basis and in strict accordance with the principles of independence, neutrality and ethics of the United Nations and ICAO.
