Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz ) — On September 10, 2024, a meeting was held between the heads of the Uzaviation Agency and the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan JSC. The meeting discussed issues of the joint initiative to create the Eurasian Civil Aviation Conference (EASAC) with the participation of Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Moldova, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, as well as topical issues of strengthening cooperation between aviation safety agencies. At the initial stage, EASAC will be an informal interdepartmental technical organization, which will allow for more rapid discussion of the future concept and scheme of interaction between aviation authorities, flexibility in making joint decisions, and reaching a common consensus. EASAC will create an advisory platform to strengthen our positions in the international arena and lay the foundation for joint interstate initiatives in the field of civil aviation. Following the meeting, the parties signed a document on the intention to establish the Eurasian Civil Aviation Conference (EuraAsian Civil Aviation Conference).
