On the sidelines of the 42nd Session of the Assembly, Chairman of the , , held a working meeting with the Deputy Administrator of the U.S. (FAA), Chris Rocheleau. The parties had a constructive discussion regarding Kazakhstan's ongoing efforts to align its flight safety oversight system with international standards, as well as matters of further technical cooperation between aviation authorities in preparation for the upcoming FAA IASA audit in Kazakhstan and the goal of obtaining Category 1. Saltanat Tompiyeva emphasized the importance of partnership with the FAA, which provides access to global best practices: “We are committed to developing sustained cooperation, sharing experiences, and working together to enhance flight safety, aviation security, and the overall growth of the aviation sector both regionally and globally,” she stated. Chris Rocheleau highlighted Kazakhstan’s achievements in civil aviation and emphasized the importance of continued joint cooperation.
