A meeting on preparations for the 2026–2027 autumn-winter navigation season was held under the chairmanship of Vice Minister of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan Talgat Lastayev, bringing together top executives from all airports and airlines across the country.

During the meeting, the Vice Minister of Transport issued a series of directives aimed at ensuring safe and uninterrupted civil aviation operations throughout the winter season.

Specifically, instructions were given to ensure the full readiness of airport infrastructure, airfield ground support equipment, specialized machinery, and personnel for operations under adverse weather conditions. Special emphasis was placed on the timely technical maintenance and serviceability checks of equipment, as well as maintaining adequate airport stockpiles of deicing/anti-icing chemicals and other essential consumables.

Furthermore, directives were issued to ensure the readiness of airfield equipment for the prompt clearance of snow and ice from runways and other movement areas, as well as the efficient organization of aircraft deicing/anti-icing operations.

The Vice Minister emphasized the critical need for early completion of all preparatory measures and continuous oversight of airport and airline operational readiness throughout the autumn-winter season.
