Usharal Airport is operationally certified and approved

Following the reconstruction of the artificial runway, the Kazakhstan Aviation Administration conducted a certification inspection at Usharal Airport.


To date, the main types of work have been completed, including the extension of the runway to 2700 m. and the widening of the taxiway. The Akimat of Zhetysu region, in collaboration with the contractor, is taking steps to complete the remaining work on the project.


The Usharal airport received a certificate of serviceability based on the survey results.


Airlines will begin selling tickets to the subsidised destinations Usharal - Almaty and Usharal - Nur-Sultan today. SCAT Airlines will operate the flights on CRJ2 aircraft (capacity 50 seats), with 14 flights per week in each direction during the summer season and 7 flights the rest of the year. The ticket prices will be 15,000 and 16,000 tenge, respectively. The flights will start on August 15, 2022.


Also, beginning August 11, the Zhetysu airline will operate 28 flights per week on the Usharal-Taldykorgan route during the summer season, and 14 flights per week during the rest of the year. The flights will be operated on L-410 aircraft with 19 seats. The ticket price is 8 000 tenge.
