Catalin Radu, Director General of Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan Honored at Romanian Forum

Cluj Napoca (Romania), 6 September 2024 - Catalin Radu, Director General of the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan, received a special award at the "Regional Development and Infrastructure Challenges" forum in Romania. The award recognized his contributions to civil aviation in Romania, Kazakhstan, and Central Asia. Radu, a prominent aviation leader, played a key role in removing Kazakhstan from the European Commission's enhanced monitoring list, allowing Kazakh airlines to fly to Europe.

He has held a number of high-level international positions. In particular, he served as President of the European Civil Aviation Conference, Vice-President of EUROCONTROL, Vice-President of the 37th ICAO Assembly and Coordinator of the European Civil Aviation Conference on External Relations and Safety Issues. He is currently the Vice Chairman of JARUS Asia/Australia region.

Catalin Radu also founded the Eurasian Civil Aviation Conference, strengthening cooperation in global aviation.
