The first meeting of the updated composition of the Search and Rescue Coordination Council was held in 2024. The Coordinating Council includes representatives of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the National Security Committee, the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan and the «Kazaeronavigation» RSE.

The Head of the Coordinating Council, Deputy Chairman of the Civil Aviation Committee of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sarsen Zharylgasov, heard reports from members of the Council and representatives of Kazaviaspas, Dala Air Airlines and the Aviation Division of East Kazakhstan Region.

The meeting discussed issues of organizing search and rescue flight support duties on the territory of Kazakhstan with the involvement of the forces and means of the State Aviation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as agreed on a work plan and joint exercises for 2024.
