A tender was conducted for 23 air routes subsidized by the Republican budget in 2022, including 10 air routes to Turkestan, 3 air routes to Kokshetau, Petropavlovsk, and 2 air routes Balkhash, Urjar and Usharal.

Subsidizing air routes is carried out to provide regular flights of air routes that are socially significant for the region's development while not ensuring the income level to perform on a commercial basis.

SCAT, Qazaq Air, and Southern Sky airlines were assigned as the carriers to perform flights on these air routes in 2022. The cost of air tickets will be from 9 to 25 thousand tenges.
