The Civil Aviation Committee of the MIID RK discussed resuming air travel between Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan as part of the effort to expand the geography of flights and increase the number of international flights.

As a result, Turkmenistan Airlines intends to start operating regular passenger flights once again between the two nations on March 26, 2023. At a frequency of two flights each week on Tuesdays and Thursdays, flights will be run on the Almaty-Ashgabat route using Boeing 737 aircraft.

The return of air travel will aid in the expansion of bilateral commerce, business, economic, tourism, and cultural relations.
