At the instruction of the Head of State and as part of the implementation of the Concept for the Development of Kazakhstan’s Transport and Logistics Potential, the reconstruction of Pavlodar Airport’s runway has been completed.
As part of the reconstruction, the runway was upgraded and widened from 45 to 60 metres. This will enable the airport to accommodate modern aircraft and enhance flight safety.
Today, the first flight following the runway reconstruction operated on the Astana – Pavlodar - Astana route. The launch event was attended by Vice Minister of Transport Maksat Kaliakparov and Akim of Pavlodar Region Assain Baykhanov.
The Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan has taken measures to launch the subsidised Astana – Pavlodar - Astana air route. Flights will operate four times a week.
The route will be operated by Vietjet Qazaqstan.
The one-way airfare will be 15,000 tenge.
Tickets for this route have been available for purchase since the first half of August 2026.
Starting September 1, commercial flights are also scheduled to resume. FlyArystan will operate daily flights on the Pavlodar - Almaty - Pavlodar route.
As for international air services, starting September 1, S7 Airlines plans to operate flights between Pavlodar and Novosibirsk seven times a week.
