Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport was recognized as the best regional airport in Central Asia/CIS at the World Airport Awards. The award was presented at the EXPO passenger terminal in Paris on June 16, 2022.

The World Airport Awards is the most prestigious award in the airport industry, with customers voted in the largest annual global airport customer satisfaction survey.

Note that the awards are based on the World Airport Survey questionnaires completed by airport customers of more than 100 nationalities over an 8-month survey period.

The study assesses the quality of customer service at the airport and the performance of key indicators - from check-in, arrivals, transfers, purchases, security / passport control at the gate.
