New Flights from Kazakhstan to Singapore Open

08/09/2026

The Civil Aviation Committee of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan is continuously working to expand the flight geography and increase the number of flights on existing routes.

Starting October 20 of this year, SCAT Airlines will launch a new flight from Shymkent to Singapore, which will operate twice a week.

The uniqueness of this flight lies in the fact that the Kazakhstani airline will operate it using fifth-freedom traffic rights with a transit stop through China. This means passengers can travel to the Chinese city of Sanya and fly onward to Singapore. Consequently, the airline will be able to transport passengers not only between Kazakhstan and Singapore, but also between China and Singapore.

The opening of direct air service between Kazakhstan and Singapore will serve to further develop tourism, investment, and bilateral business ties, as well as establish Kazakhstan as a transit hub in Central Asia.
