05/10/2022

On behalf of the Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kairbek Uskenbayev, work continues to increase the aircraft fleet and increase the carrying capacity of Kazakhstani airlines.

Thus, the aircraft fleet of SCAT Airlines was replenished with the fifth out of 9 planned for the current year, a modern Boeing-737 aircraft with a capacity of 189 seats. This aircraft will increase the airline's fleet to 31 units, including up to 24 Boeing models.

Since August, the airline has already received and put into operation 4 Boeing-737 aircraft with a capacity of 174 (including 12 business class seats) to 189 seats, respectively.

At the same time, it is expected that by the end of this year, domestic regular carriers will receive 8 more aircraft, thereby increasing the carrying capacity of Kazakhstani airlines by 20%, which will also positively affect the timeliness of flights.

Work on expanding the fleet of aircraft of Kazakhstani airlines continues and is under the constant control of the Civil Aviation Committee.
