A new air route from Vietnam to the Czech Republic is being launched

19/03/2026

The Civil Aviation Committee of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan is continuously working to expand the geography of flights and increase the frequency of services on existing air routes.

Starting from July 11 of this year, the Vietnamese airline VietJet Air plans to launch a new route on the Hanoi – Almaty – Prague sector, utilizing fifth freedom traffic rights. Flights will be operated twice a week using Airbus A330 aircraft.

This route will be operated under the “open skies” regime in the Republic of Kazakhstan, which creates new opportunities for the development of international air connectivity and the attraction of foreign carriers.

The launch of this service will contribute to the development of tourism, business, and humanitarian ties, as well as strengthen cooperation between the Republic of Kazakhstan, Vietnam, and the Czech Republic.

The opening of this route further reinforces Kazakhstan’s position as a transit bridge between Asia and Europe and supports the continued development of the international air route network.
