Michael Daniel, Chief Executive Officer of the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan, visited the production facilities of Airbus Helicopters Kazakhstan Engineering (AHKE) in Astana.

During the visit, the delegation toured the helicopter assembly and maintenance facilities, warehouse operations, and the training center, where pilots and technical personnel, including mechanics and avionics specialists, receive training to support operators across Central Asia and the CIS.

Michael Daniel was also briefed on the company’s maintenance center, which provides continuing airworthiness support, maintenance, repair, and technical services for the H125, H130, H145, and EC145 helicopter families.

Representatives of Airbus Helicopters Kazakhstan Engineering presented the company’s regional development strategy, including plans to establish a modern helicopter ecosystem in Kazakhstan encompassing helicopter assembly, maintenance services, workforce training, and the further expansion of the plant’s production capabilities.

The meeting underscored the importance of constructive and transparent cooperation between the aviation authority and the certified organization. At the conclusion of the visit, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening their partnership, maintaining regular professional dialogue, and sharing expertise.

Airbus Helicopters Kazakhstan Engineering (AHKE) is a joint venture established on the basis of the former Eurocopter Kazakhstan Engineering, with Airbus Helicopters as the majority shareholder.
