The Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan hosted a meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Aviation Security and Facilitation, with the participation of representatives from the Civil Aviation Committee of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Aviation Administration, state and regulatory authorities, as well as aviation industry representatives who are members of the commission.

The meeting reviewed the results of the Commission's activities in 2024 and discussed the upcoming ICAO audit, which will assess compliance with aviation security standards and passenger service quality in the field of civil aviation.

Special attention was given to issues of coordination among government agencies, the effectiveness of interdepartmental airport commissions on aviation security and facilitation. Additionally, the meeting addressed matters of cooperation and interaction between the Border Service of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan during apron inspections (SAFA) conducted by aviation inspectors.

As a result of the meeting, decisions were made to improve interdepartmental cooperation and to ensure the fulfillment of the assigned tasks. The next meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission on Aviation Security is scheduled for the first quarter of 2025.
