Chair of the Civil Aviation Committee of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Saltanat Tompiyeva, met with the Executive Vice President for Air Transport and International Cooperation of the General Authority of Civil Aviation of Saudi Arabia, Ali Mohammed Rajab.

The main topic of the meeting was the development of bilateral cooperation in the field of flight safety and regulation of the aviation industry. The parties also discussed increasing the number of regular flights operated by Kazakh and Saudi carriers between the two countries.

"One of the key points of our cooperation is the Air Services Agreement. In August of this year, we completed all internal procedures and are ready to sign the document, which will not only develop direct air connections between our countries, but also contribute to the growth of tourism, trade, and business exchanges," emphasized the head of the Civil Aviation Committee.

As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to sign the Air Services Agreement by the end of this year and to increase the number of weekly flights between the two countries from 14 to 21 for each side.
