Law and Order Principle Discussed at the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan

02/10/2026

A meeting was held at the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan to explain amendments to the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on anti-corruption, discuss compliance with the Code of Business Ethics and labour relations requirements, and address the implementation of the “Law and Order” principle.

During the meeting, Ombudsman of the Company Darkhan Espotanov drew the attention of the organisation’s management to the importance of complying with business ethics standards, integrity, mutual respect and the rule of law in day-to-day work. Particular emphasis was placed on preventing violations and avoiding the use of official powers for personal interests. It was noted that these principles should also be upheld by civil aviation entities when conducting inspection and supervisory activities.

Compliance Officer Bakytzhan Kabdoldanov briefed employees on amendments to Kazakhstan’s anti-corruption legislation introduced in 2026, as well as on new requirements that will come into force on 1 January 2027.

With regard to anti-corruption restrictions, particular attention was paid to conflicts of interest, the receipt of gifts and remuneration, participation in the management of legal entities, and the use of official powers. Employees were also briefed on the new procedure for preventing and resolving conflicts of interest, which provides for the timely disclosure of personal interests and the taking of appropriate measures.

It was noted that the anti-corruption compliance function operates independently, and employees may contact the Compliance Officer regarding compliance with legislation, conflicts of interest and potential corruption risks.

Participants noted that the “Law and Order” principle is implemented primarily through the daily work of every employee — by complying with legislation, performing duties responsibly, following established procedures, and maintaining respectful relations with colleagues.
