From 20 to 22 October 2026, Astana will host ICAO Security Week 2026, one of the key international events in the field of aviation security and cybersecurity.
The event will bring together representatives of States, the aviation industry and international organizations to discuss emerging challenges and the further development of the global aviation security system.
Kazakhstan is consistently advancing the constitutional principle of “Law and Order,” aimed at strengthening legal culture, ensuring compliance with established requirements, and enhancing accountability.
For civil aviation, the “Law and Order” principle has direct practical relevance.
Aviation security is founded, first and foremost, on strict compliance with established rules and procedures, professional discipline, personnel competence, and the responsibility of every participant in the aviation system.
These issues are directly reflected in the programme of ICAO Security Week 2026.
Key topics include moving from audit findings towards sustainable enhancement of system capabilities, transport security, cybersecurity in the aviation sector, ensuring flight safety amid evolving threats, and the sustainable development of aviation security systems.
Accordingly, the themes of the international event closely align with the substance of the “Law and Order” principle.
Security is ensured not only through technologies and oversight measures, but also through day-to-day compliance with established requirements, the responsible performance of duties, and the development of a strong and sustainable security culture.
As part of the information support for ICAO Security Week 2026, awareness materials bearing the message “ Law and Order – for the sake of safe Kazakhstan” will be displayed at the event venue.
These materials are intended to highlight a simple but important connection: compliance with rules, responsibility, and order are essential conditions for security, both in society as a whole and in civil aviation.
Hosting ICAO Security Week 2026 in Astana will provide an additional opportunity to emphasize the interconnection between adherence to established rules, professional culture, and aviation security, while also demonstrating Kazakhstan’s commitment to further strengthening international cooperation in the field of aviation security.
