Kazakhstan Presents Aircraft Maintenance Organization Certification Experience at Safety Roadshow 2026

Safety Roadshow 2026, a conference dedicated to flight safety, aircraft operations, and the development of a strong safety culture in the aviation industry, was held in Kyrgyzstan. Organized by Airbus Helicopters Kazakhstan Engineering, the event brought together representatives of civil aviation authorities, helicopter operators, engineers, and flight safety specialists from across Central Asia.

During the conference, participants discussed key issues related to risk management, enhancing the effectiveness of Safety Management Systems (SMS), aircraft maintenance, and ensuring the continued airworthiness of helicopters operating under a wide range of environmental and operational conditions.

Yermek Dautbayev, Head of the Commercial Air Transport Division and Chief Aviation Inspector of the Airworthiness Department at the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan (AAK), delivered a presentation titled "Rules for the Certification and Issuance of Certificates to Civil Aviation Aircraft Maintenance and Repair Organizations in the Republic of Kazakhstan."

The conference also featured practical case studies on helicopter operations in challenging climatic and geographical environments. Participants exchanged views on improving training programmes for flight crews and maintenance personnel, strengthening professional cooperation, enhancing the competencies of aviation specialists across Central Asia, and promoting the implementation of international safety standards in the day-to-day activities of aviation organizations.
