Kazakhstan is on the path to digitizing aviation personnel licenses

The Republic of Kazakhstan is launching the issuance of plastic licenses for aviation personnel. The new document format was presented at Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan.

The new initiative is part of the strategy of the Civil Aviation Committee of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan aimed at modernization, digitalization, and optimization of aviation personnel licensing procedures. strategy to modernize and digitize, as well as streamline the licensing procedures for aviation personnel.

The plastic aviation personnel licenses offer numerous advantages, including enhanced security, environmental sustainability, and remarkable durability. These licenses are designed for user convenience and are equipped with advanced security features such as holograms and QR codes, making them virtually impossible to counterfeit.

It is worth highlighting that the successful implementation of plastic aviation personnel licenses has already been achieved in several European Union countries and the United States.

A phased implementation is scheduled to begin on May 1 of this year, with the new format licenses initially being issued to air traffic service controllers. By the end of the year, the process will extend to aircraft maintenance personnel, pilots, and other categories of aviation personnel. 

The Aviation administration of Kazakhstan is actively working to enhance safety and quality standards in the aviation sector. The introduction of plastic cards is a significant step in this direction, ensuring reliable identification and data protection for aviation personnel.
