At the invitation of the Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Vice Minister of Transport Talgat Lastayev and Vice Minister of Tourism and Sports Miras Toleubayev attended an event dedicated to advancing tourism cooperation between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

One of the key topics discussed at the meeting was the development of air connectivity between the two countries.

Currently, 70 flights are operated between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan each week, representing a 40% increase compared with last year. At the same time, the geographic coverage of air services is expanding significantly. Direct air links are now being developed not only between the two countries’ largest cities but also between their regions. Passenger traffic between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan has increased by more than 30% so far this year.

New air routes connecting the regions of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan have been launched this year. In particular, Atyrau, Uralsk, Kostanay and Aktobe have gained direct air links with Tashkent, while Almaty is now directly connected with Samarkand and Urgench.

Enhanced transport connectivity is creating additional opportunities to develop new tourism routes, increase travel between the two countries and further strengthen cooperation between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
