A meeting was held in Astana between Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Serik Zhumangarin and the UK Minister of State for Trade, Lord Anas Sarwar.
Chair of the Civil Aviation Committee of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan Saltanat Tompiyeva also took part in the meeting.
The parties discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation and emphasized the importance of further strengthening the strategic partnership.
It was noted that the visit of the British delegation gives new momentum to bilateral relations and creates opportunities to move towards the practical implementation of the agreements reached.
Cooperation in the field of civil aviation was also discussed during the visit. The parties identified areas for closer engagement in this sector and confirmed their mutual interest in continuing an open and constructive dialogue and working together on priority areas.
