On October 20, 2026, Vice Minister of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan Talgat Lastayev held a meeting in Astana with Jaime Binder, Secretary General of the Latin American Civil Aviation Commission (LACAC).
The parties discussed key aspects of developing international cooperation in civil aviation, strengthening interregional ties, exchanging operational experience, and expanding collaboration between the aviation authorities of Kazakhstan and Latin American states.
During the meeting, discussions also focused on enhancing cooperation between the Eurasian Civil Aviation Conference (EACAC) and LACAC, as well as further drafting a Memorandum of Understanding between the two regional organizations.
Additionally, the sides addressed joint interaction within the framework of ICAO and the expansion of broader engagement with Latin American nations.
Following the meeting, both parties reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining a constructive dialogue and strengthening partnership relations to promote the sustainable development of civil aviation.
