Director General of the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan, Peter Griffiths, has officially informed to ICAO the voluntary participating in the Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA). This letter was sent to ICAO Secretary General Dr. Fang Liu.

These commitments represent an important contribution towards the momentum underpinning CORSIA. As a result, 85 States representing 76.76​% of international aviation activities are now committed to the voluntary phase.

One of the measures in ICAO’s basket of measures to address the impacts of aviation on climate, CORSIA supports the realization of carbon neutral growth through the offsetting of CO2 emissions from international flights.
