On March 4-5, 2025, Almaty will host a significant international event — the ICAO EUR/NAT Regional Workshop on Gender Equality and Empowering Women in Aviation.

The event will be opened by Nicolas Rallo, the ICAO EUR/NAT Regional Director the International Civil Aviation Organization, which includes 56 States in the region (out of 193 ICAO member countries).

Representatives of the aviation industry of Kazakhstan and abroad, international organizations (ICAO, Eurocontrol, EASA, IATA, IFATCA, SkyTeam, ACVFFI etc), aviation companies and business circles will take part in the seminar.

The seminar, organized under the auspices of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), will serve as a unique platform for sharing experiences, discussing gender-related issues, and developing strategies to enhance women's participation in the aviation industry.

The seminar program includes sessions featuring women—pilots, aircraft commanders, air traffic controllers, engineers, aviation mechanics, and airline executives.

The seminar aims to promote gender equality in aviation, support women’s career advancement and inspire future generations of industry professionals.

The event program will feature presentations by global experts, professional sessions focused on the career development of women in aviation, inspiring success stories, and modern initiatives aimed at attracting youth to aviation.
