15/10/2026

The 29th Kazakhstan International Transport and Logistics Exhibition – TransLogistica Kazakhstan 2026 – took place in Astana. Bringing together representatives from government agencies, international organizations, transport and logistics companies, and industry experts from more than 20 countries (including China, Russia, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, Turkey, the UAE, and others), the event covered key topics related to modernizing the transport sector, developing logistics infrastructure, implementing IT solutions, and increasing freight transport efficiency.

As part of the event, Saltanat Tompiyeva, Chair of the Civil Aviation Committee of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Ambassador of the ICAO Global Ambassadors Program, participated as a speaker in the plenary session titled “Women Leaders of a New Era: People, Technologies, and the Future of Transport and Logistics.”

The session also featured Alua Korpebayeva, Head of the Transport and Logistics Project Office under the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Leila Kulenova, Chairwoman of the Women’s Entrepreneurship Council of the Presidium of NCE "Atameken"; Aizhan Beiseyeva, Regional Manager for Central Asia and the Caucasus at CPCS, Chair of Women in TLP, and Chair of Women in Trade & Logistics Partnerships; Alexandra Ogneva, Project Manager for Eastern Europe, South Caucasus, and Central Asia at Rhenus Group Board; Madina Akhmedzhanova, Director of Kusto Logistics; Inkar Khussainova, Director of the Digital Services Department at "Digital Economy Development Center" LLC; and Aliya Shalova, Business Partner for Information Systems and Transformation in West and Central Asia at Alstom.

The session, dedicated to the role of women leaders in advancing the transport and logistics sector, raised issues regarding workforce preparation, human capital development, and the impact of digitalization and artificial intelligence on the labor market.

In her address, Saltanat Tompiyeva noted that Kazakhstan, as an active participant in shaping the future of civil aviation, adheres to the principle of sustainable industry growth, paying great attention to investments in human capital.

“We actively share experience with the international aviation community regarding human capital development, host regional ICAO seminars and workshops, and attract an increasing number of young professionals to our industry. I am convinced that aviation will see far fewer professions that are traditionally considered exclusively male or female. It is essential that young people—both young women and young men—have equal opportunities to receive an education, prove themselves, and realize their potential,” emphasized S. Tompiyeva.

Session participants discussed the shortage of qualified specialists, young talent development and mentorship, the formation of new professional competencies, as well as collaboration between the government, business, and educational institutions in preparing the workforce of the future.
