On November 28-29, 2023, in Almaty, JSC Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan, with the support of the Civil Aviation Committee, will hold a regional seminar: "Global Reporting Format for the Runway Surface Conditions – ICAO GRF ".

The speakers of the event will be specialists of the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Airbus, Civil aviation authorities of Azerbaijan, manufacturers of equipment and software for assessing the condition of the runway - Moventor Oy, Monitor Soft, "Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan" JSC, RSE "Kazaeronavigation", domestic airlines and airports.

The main purpose of the ICAO GRF application is to reduce the risks of aircraft rolling out of the runway. Considering that the process of implementing GRF and its further application has left many questions, including for the CIS countries, the purpose of this seminar is to share with the countries of the region the experience of solving problems that have arisen during the implementation and application of GRF.

Kazakhstan is one of the first CIS countries to announce 100% implementation of the standards of the Global Reporting Format for the Runway Surface Conditions. This process was successfully completed by the "Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan" JSC in November 2021.
