Aviation Security Department of the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan (hereinafter referred to as AAK) held a seminar on "Risk Management Fundamentals" for representatives of airports, airlines, and air navigation service providers at the ICAO Aviation Security Training Center of the Civil Aviation Academy of Almaty.

The seminar was attended by aviation security quality control auditors of airports and airlines of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The main objective of the seminar is to present aviation security quality control auditors with advanced methods for assessing various threats to the aviation industry, developing effective methods for analyzing their impact, as well as for forming a coordinated approach to risk assessment and management and implementing effective mitigation methods.

The participants noted the importance of holding this event in preparation for the upcoming ICAO aviation security audit.

As a result of the seminar, it was decided that, in accordance with the requirements of ICAO standards and based on the information received, civil aviation entities will conduct an ongoing assessment of civil aviation security risks when interacting with the AAK.
