The first meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Aviation Security in a new composition was held at the site of Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan under the chairmanship of Deputy General Director for Aviation Security of AAK Darkhan Yespotanov.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the CAC Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Aviation Administration, the aviation industry, and government agencies that were part of the commission.

The Interdepartmental Commission is aimed at providing advisory assistance on aviation security issues, preparing recommendations, and reviewing the effectiveness of measures to counter acts of unlawful interference in the activities of civil aviation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Following the meeting, issues related to the creation of a unified aviation security service at the country's airports and the preparation of Kazakhstan for the upcoming ICAO aviation security audit were considered.

The next meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission on Ensuring Aviation Security of Civil Aviation is scheduled to be held in the second half of this year.
