The Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan held a meeting with state and law enforcement agencies involved in ensuring aviation security.

The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Defence, the State Protection Service, the National Security Committee, the KNB Border Guard Service, the Police Department on Transport of the Ministry of Interior and the Civil Aviation Committee, as well as the heads of aviation security airports.

On the agenda were discussed issues of strengthening security measures at airports related to forced entry into airports, as well as the interaction of state agencies with the aviation security services of airports under the threat of mass disturbances and capacity building to enhance aviation security.

The reports were made by the Director of Aviation Security JSC "Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan" Katyshev Darkhan, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Aviation Security JSC "Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport" Tuleshev Marat, Vice President of Aviation Security JSC "Almaty International Airport" Bektursynov Sanzhar, head of aviation security JSC "International Airport Aktau" Daukenov Amir and head of aviation security JSC "International Airport Semey" Samatov Gazizbek.

During the meeting by Department of Aviation Security of Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan the international experience of perimeter fence security, controlled and uncontrolled areas of airports as well as the work of interagency airport commission in the field of aviation security was announced.

Problematic issues were also voiced by airports and proposals were made for their elimination.

State and law enforcement agencies supported the initiative to improve cooperation in the field of aviation security, and it was decided to hold regular meetings.

On the whole, the meeting was productive with reflection of existing problems and ways of its solution in the field of aviation security, as well as discussion of forthcoming tasks for the nearest period.
