As part of the Head of State’s visit to the United States, a contract was signed between Air Astana and Boeing for the supply of 15 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, in addition to the three aircraft of this type previously ordered. The total value of the contract amounts to 7 billion US dollars.
The fleet expansion will enable Air Astana to broaden its network of international routes, including the launch of direct flights to the United States.
In addition, SCAT Airlines continues its cooperation with Boeing to further expand its fleet to 15 Boeing 737 aircraft by 2035, while the state enterprise Kazaeronavigatsia is partnering with the American company Leidos to further modernize Kazakhstan’s air navigation system to the Skyline-X level.
The implementation of these projects will enhance the technological capabilities and quality of air traffic services in Kazakhstan.
