The Mongolian airline "Hunnu Air" held an official opening ceremony of a new international flight Almaty - Ulaanbaatar at the airport of the southern capital.

The ceremony was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to Kazakhstan D.Bayarkhuu, the head of Xiongnu Air P.Monkhzhargal, the chairman of the Civil Aviation Committee of the MIID of the Republic of Kazakhstan T.Lastaev, as well as representatives of the Almaty Akimat, the General Directorate of Civil Aviation and the Department of Civil Aviation of Mongolia.

The participants of the event noted that the opening of air communication will provide an opportunity for citizens, including the large Kazakh diaspora in Mongolia, to travel quickly and comfortably between the two countries.

Flights on the route Ulaanbaatar - Almaty - Ulaanbaatar are operated weekly, on Wednesdays, on an E-190 aircraft (capacity 98 seats).

This route will contribute to the development of trade and economic cooperation, tourism and business partnership between Kazakhstan and Mongolia.
