Direct flight between Astana and Ankara launched

As part of the work to further expand the geography of flights and increase the number of international flights, the opening ceremony of a new route between the capitals of Kazakhstan and Turkey was held on 5 December by Turkish budget carrier "AnadoluJet", which is a subsidiary of Turkish Airlines.

The event took place with the participation of the chairman of the Committee Civil Aviation Committee Chairman Talgat Lastayev, Turkish Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Kazakhstan Ufuk Ekici, Marketing Director of "AnadoluJet" company Ahmet Tsyldyz and President of JSC "International Airport Nursultan Nazarbayev" Daulet Khamzin.

Flights between Astana and Ankara will be performed by B-737 aircraft with a frequency of 2 flights per week. The first flights to Ankara will carry 140 passengers on the flights, while 157 passengers will depart from Ankara.

The opening of this flight is expected to have a positive impact on the development of trade, tourism, business between Kazakhstan and Turkey.
