Recently, there have been more frequent aviation incidents involving light aircraft. In this regard, unscheduled inspections of general aviation operators were conducted from August 25 to September 5, the preliminary results of which were announced at a meeting with the participation of the Vice Minister of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan Talgat Lastayev.
The Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan inspected 31 aircraft of general aviation (GA) operators and identified a number of violations of the requirements of regulatory legal acts in the field of civil aviation. The operation of 7 aircraft has been suspended until the operators eliminate the identified violations.
The Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan, within the framework of the powers established by law, continues to work on monitoring the activities of general aviation operators, including the appeals of physical persons about facts of illegal flights, as well as monitoring of publications in the media and social networks.
Recently, advertisements for “exclusive”, “sightseeing”, “excursion” and other flights on private aircraft have become more frequent on social networks (Instagram, TikTok, Telegram), although many of them do not have special permits.
The Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan warns that in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On the Use of the Airspace of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Aviation Activities", general aviation operators are prohibited from carrying out air transportation, aviation work for a fee or for hire. Operators who violate the requirements will be held liable as provided by law.
