Civil Aviation prepares for the holiday period amid challenging weather conditions

The Vice Minister of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Talgat Lastaev, held a meeting with the management of leading aviation enterprises Air Astana, FlyArystan, SCAT, VietJet Qazaqstan, as well as the airports of Astana and Almaty. The meeting addressed issues related to strengthening the operational regime of airports and airlines during the holiday period.

To meet increased demand during the holidays, it is planned to operate 100 additional flights on the following routes: Astana-Almaty, Almaty-Oral, Almaty-Semey, Astana-Turkestan, Astana-Aktobe, Almaty-Aktau, Almaty-Aktobe, and Astana-Shymkent.

Following the meeting, the following instructions were issued:

1.     Aviation inspectors of the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan are to form monitoring teams during the holiday period and be present at the major airports of Astana and Almaty to ensure the protection of passengers’ rights and compliance with flight punctuality.

2.     Airlines and airports are instructed to:

-provide reserve aircraft and additional ground handling equipment to ensure uninterrupted operations;

-strengthen staffing with experienced specialists and ensure the availability of hot meals and beverages as part of passenger services in the event of flight delays;

-promptly inform passengers of flight delays via official websites, social media, mobile applications, airport information displays, and mass media.

Passengers are advised to check the status and departure times of flights in advance through airline and airport information services, as well as via official websites and mobile applications.

All measures taken by airlines and airports are primarily aimed at ensuring flight safety. In this regard, passengers are kindly requested to be understanding of possible flight delays caused by objective factors.
