Cargolux plans to resume flights to Kazakhstan

A meeting was held between the Chairman of the Civil Aviation Committee Talgat Lastaev and the Ambassador of Luxembourg to Russia (Belarus and Kazakhstan concurrently) George Faber.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the issues of air communication between Kazakhstan and Luxembourg.

According to George Faber, the Luxembourg airline Cargolux is interested in resuming regular cargo flights to airports in Kazakhstan, including those with a technical landing. Thus, at the initial stage, Cargolux airline plans to transfer about 30-40 technical landings per week from neighboring countries to the airports of Kazakhstan, which are carried out during flights between Europe and China, as well as Southeast Asia.

The parties noted with satisfaction the legal framework created by the aviation authorities of Kazakhstan and Luxembourg for the implementation of regular passenger / cargo flights between the two countries.

The Kazakh side expressed its readiness to provide comprehensive assistance in the resumption of Cargolux flights to Kazakhstan.
