The Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan held a meeting of the Working Group on flight regularity and quality of services on the results of the last year and discussion of plans for 2025 - 2026.
Meeting was attended by representatives of the Civil Aviation Committee of the Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan, Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan, airports and airlines.
Based on the data of the Civil Aviation Committee, the frequency of flights since the beginning of 2025 has increased by more than 3% compared to 2024, and amounted to 716 flights per week. The percentage of punctuality of flights amounted to 76%. At the same time, the duration of delays decreased compared to previous indicators.
The meeting also announced the closure of the capital's airspace in connection with the parade dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great War and Defender of the Fatherland Day: from April 22 to May 7 this year from 10:00 to 13:00 pm. During this period, the airport will perform a number of organizational and technical measures to ensure uninterrupted operation and minimize flight delays.
In addition, Dangerous Goods Division specialists emphasized the role of proper handling of dangerous goods to ensure safety on the ground. Suggestions from industry representatives on improving and modernizing passenger service processes were also heard.
The focus was also on ensuring safety by ground operations services and making air transportation more accessible to passengers with special needs.
At the conclusion, airport and airline employees who have worked in aviation for more than 20 years were recognized with letters of appreciation for their commitment and high-quality execution of their functional duties.
