As part of the international exhibition Kazakhstan Security Systems 2026, the Drone Tech Conference was held in Astana, focusing on the integration of unmanned aerial systems (UAS) into national security, civil protection, and industrial applications.
The event brought together representatives of government agencies, профильных institutions, law enforcement bodies, developers, manufacturers, system integrators, educational organizations, and industry experts.
Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan was represented at the conference by Saniya Bubeshova, Aviation Inspector of the Department of Unmanned Aircraft Systems, who delivered a presentation on the current regulatory framework governing UAS operations within the airspace of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The presentation outlined key legislative requirements related to unmanned aircraft operations, including operational authorization, registration procedures, certification, permit issuance, as well as compliance with aviation security and flight safety standards.
Particular emphasis was placed on the need for further development of the regulatory and legal framework in response to the rapid growth of the drone industry, the expanding range of UAS applications, and the importance of establishing effective mechanisms for cooperation between government agencies, industry stakeholders, and technology companies.
The conference also served as a platform for open dialogue with industry participants, where existing regulatory requirements were clarified and opportunities for supporting the safe development of unmanned aviation in Kazakhstan were discussed.
