Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan (AAK) has successfully passed the preliminary technical review of the IASA program conducted by Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)
FAA experts conducted a preliminary IASA technical review from 26 to 30 August, as part of the ongoing comprehensive work to launch direct flights from Kazakhstan to the United States. This preliminary technical review will allow full preparation for the IASA audit next year. We note that based on the results of the preliminary technical review, the FAA does not categorize the country, but allows the country's aviation authorities to effectively prepare for the upcoming IASA audit. The completed technical assessment was aimed at determining compliance with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards for 8 critical elements of the state safety oversight system. Based on the review results, no significant safety concerns were identified in the State’s safety oversight system. At the same time, AAK together with the Civil Aviation Committee of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, will continue to work on the identified discrepancies to improve the level of safety for the successful passage of the IASA audit next year.
