Arkalyk Airport Officially Assigned the International IATA Code - AYK

As part of the implementation of the Head of State’s instruction on the reconstruction of Arkalyk Airport, the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan carried out the necessary work to obtain an IATA code for the airport.
As a result, on August 12, 2026, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) officially assigned Arkalyk Airport the three - letter code AYK. This code had previously been used by the airport and has now been officially reinstated.
The unique AYK code enables Arkalyk Airport to be integrated into global reservation and ticketing systems, flight schedule databases, and other international information systems used in civil aviation.
