A ceremonial awards event was held at Aktau International Airport as part of the Best Airport Service pilot project, aimed at enhancing the quality of passenger service.
The project brought together airport service departments, service providers involved in passenger handling, and government agencies responsible for regulatory functions at Aktau International Airport.
The award ceremony was attended by representatives of the Civil Aviation Committee of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan, the Border Service of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Customs Service of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance, the Linear Police Department, the management of Aktau Airport, a representative of ATMA - Atyrau Airport and Transportation JSC, airline representatives, and employees whose work exemplified high professionalism and dedication.
Since April 2024, passengers at Aktau International Airport have been able to evaluate the level of service at every stage of their journey by completing surveys accessible via QR codes displayed in passenger service areas.
Based on passenger feedback, regular measures are implemented to address shortcomings and improve service quality at the airport. Additionally, training and awareness programs were conducted for all personnel involved in passenger handling at Aktau Airport.
In August 2024, aviation inspectors from the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan conducted an introductory seminar to familiarize employees with ethical guidelines and effective passenger interaction practices aimed at enhancing service standards.
In September, Air Astana organized a service training course for all Aktau Airport employees who interact with passengers.
As part of the airport staff assessment system, the best-performing employees were recognized with valuable gifts and souvenirs provided by Air Astana, Turkish Airlines, Azal, Aeroflot, Scat, and Fly Arystan.
The Best Airport Service project will continue to evolve. Plans for 2025 include launching new initiatives to further enhance passenger experiences. Aktau Airport aims to be more than just a transit point—it strives to be a place where passengers feel cared for, comfortable, and safe.
