Airbus has issued an airworthiness directive requiring all airlines to immediately update the operational software for the altitude control system computers on aircraft from the Airbus family. The directive mandates that the work be completed before the next flight of each aircraft.
As a result, the departures of Airbus aircraft operated by domestic airlines Air Astana and Fly Arystan will be delayed at their base airports for the mandatory software update to ensure flight safety.
The Civil Aviation Committee, in collaboration with the Aviation Administration, will set up a round-the-clock call center to assist passengers with flight delays. Passengers are advised to contact the following numbers for flight status information:
