Air Connectivity with China Expands
03/06/2026
The Civil Aviation Committee of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan continues its efforts to expand the geography of international air services and increase flight frequencies on existing routes.
As part of these efforts, Air Astana launched regular passenger flights on the Astana–Guangzhou route on June 2, 2026. The service operates twice weekly, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, using Airbus A321LR aircraft.
The launch of direct air services between Astana and Guangzhou is expected to further strengthen trade, economic, investment, business, and tourism cooperation between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the People's Republic of China.
